Staffing Pharmacist LTC

Staffing Pharmacist needed for a privately owned,

• closed-door,
• non-retail, non-public facing, long term care pharmacy located in Louisville, KY.

Major position functions :

Verifies keyed orders as well as final packaged medication product for accuracy and quality.

May supervise pharmacy technicians in the packaging and compounding of medications.

Uses communication and organizational skills to effectively educate fellow pharmacy staff and allied health professionals.

Communicates professionally with customers concerning medication interactions, allergies, dosing, storage and disposition.

Checks new and refill medication orders for interactions, allergies and duplicate therapy.

Answers drug information questions and prepare responses according to established format.

Qualifications :

Kentucky Registered Pharmacist license.

LTC experience preferred but not required.

Additional details :

10 : 30am - 7pm schedule with every 3rd Saturday 9am to 5pm rotating (closed Sundays) - 40 hours / week.
