OCCUPATIONAL SUMMARY

This position classification will be used by the Duke University Athletic Association to distinguish coaches for club sports.

Work Performed

Typical duties will include teaching technical skills, coaching the sport during practices and competitions, and prepareing club members to participate in the sport.

Ensure all club participants are compliant with Sport Club risk management requirements and possess the ability to understand implement provided risk mitigation strategies.

Attend an annual training to learn about Duke University and Sport Club policy and procedure and ensure compliance of Due University and Sport Clubs procedures.

Counsel and advise Sport Club officers on the direction and operations of the club and porvide opportunities for leadership and personal growth and development of club participants.

Provide a welcoming and inclusive environment for participants of all skill levels, backgrounds, and identitiy groups.

Prossess a valid American Red Cross CPR / AED / First Aid certification or have the ability to obtain one with in 30 days of employment.
