Jennifer Fukumae with Robert Half's Financial Services Group is partnering with a Venture Capital Firm seeking a Fund Accountant to join its growing finance team. This firm invests across multiple sectors and stages with a differentiated approach that includes structured liquidity solutions, direct secondaries, and primary financings. Their portfolio features several high-profile, industry-leading companies across space exploration, freight forwarding, e-commerce, and human resources.

About the Role : The Fund Accountant will be based in San Francisco and will work closely with the CFO, Controller, and Senior Accounting Manager. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career accounting professional to gain hands-on experience in venture capital fund operations and investment accounting.

Key Responsibilities :

• Liaise with service providers including fund administrators, auditors, and tax teams
• Support quarterly and annual financial statement audits, tax returns, and compliance filings
• Maintain accounting journals, ledgers, and records for main funds and SPVs
• Monitor and assist with portfolio valuation adjustments and periodic valuation updates
• Process and review fund investment and expense transactions
• Assist in preparing company budgets and related financial analyses
• Maintain accurate and organized accounting documentation
• Participate in other related projects or ad hoc tasks as assigned
