First review of applications on June 13, 2025. Expected hiring range for Building Inspector II : $58,008 - $72,510. Expected hiring range for Building Inspector III : $63,954 - $79,943. Starting salary depending on experience and qualifications.

We currently have two Building Inspector positions open. Based on experience and qualifications applicants will be slotted into one of the positions in this class series.

Minimum Qualifications

Building Inspector II :

• A High School diploma or GED.
• Three (3) years' experience in building inspection or construction related field.
• Two (2) years' experience in public sector building inspection.
• Requires current certification as a Residential Combination Inspector and a minimum of two of the following commercial certifications : Building, Electrical, mechanical, or Plumbing, by a nationally recognized organization.
• Certifications must be maintained as a condition of continued employment.
• Must possess a valid Class D Arizona driver license upon the first day of employment.
• An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
