The Technical Account Manager operates as an account manager and a technical field support resource within the Automotive Aftermarket business. This role includes field work, sales management, sales support and training of our distribution partners and growing our relationships with the OEM's. Responsibilities include developing strategic relationships across all levels of distribution channel to increase brand awareness and identity within the automotive aftermarket. The incumbent will be the primary support to the Automotive OEMs of their technical service bulletins, recall repairs, new repair techniques and interface with I-CAR and insurance companies on an as-needed basis to ensure continuity of repair approach between industry leaders. Responsibilities also include developing and maintaining up-to-date knowledge of applications, testing procedures, and maintenance procedures used in the automotive aftermarket repair field. The incumbent will update necessary training materials and training curriculum as needed, this includes providing product performance information, competitive analysis, and market information relevant to the strategic planning process.
The Technical Account Manager will interface with a variety of departments including, but not limited to, Marketing, Sales, Customer Service, Quality, and Product Development to increase the overall level of customer service.
This position will be located out of a home office within the United States. Must be able to access an airport.
- Field activity in major metro areas visiting multiple users weekly; performing hands on demonstrations, creating pull through, training the trainer, etc.
- Support Parker / LORD Sales organization to drive growth in automotive aftermarket channels
- Primary contact for Automotive OEM's support for technical service bulletins, and new repair techniques
- Participate in quarterly Distributor Business Plan reviews with Preferred Distributor, where sales and sales pipeline objectives are discussed, and annual action plans are developed and updated
- Using an entrepreneurial mindset, manage and deliver sales that meet or exceed annual goal
- Coordinate with marketing to develop innovative programs to grow Fusor brand
- Assist and manage distributor participation in tradeshows and industry events
- Plan, supervise, conduct & document field trials
- Maintain I-Car Trainer certification and continue engagement within I-Car
- Travel to target industry showcases to support Fusor brand
Qualifications
B.S. or B.A. degree or relevant work experience with 5 to 7 years of sales and distributor management experienceProven experience with direct and indirect sales channels of distributionExceptionally organized and maximizes use of timeStrong analytical and problem-solving capabilitiesExcellent interpersonal skillsAbility to manage many projects simultaneously with good project management, organization and planning skillsStrong technical aptitude and knowledge base of automotive aftermarketPossesses knowledge related to adhesive applications and / or experience working in a manufacturing environment including knowledge and experience of materials, processing, applications, etc.Demonstrates confidence and poise when communicating at any level of the customer organizationDemonstrates an ability to understand the customer's buying processExperience selling adhesives or high value consumable products through distribution channelsExcellent computer skills Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and OutlookProven ability to influence and lead without direct authorityCompetent and clear communicator of expectations and goalsAbility to actively manage sale pipeline using a CRM from sales lead to opportunity to closeExcellent presentation skillsMust have a valid driving licenseOvernight travel as needed up to 60%Non-Mandatory Qualifications :

Pay Range for this role is $85,845 - $146,422 annuallyParticipation in Sales Incentive ProgramBenefit & Retirement Plans
