Accounts Payable Specialist

• Review all invoices for proper approvals, coding, and any other necessary supporting documentation
• Perform three-way match between Vendor Invoices, Purchase Orders, and Receiving Documentation
• Enter invoices into accounting system
• Research and troubleshoot invoice and employee expense report issues such as outstanding credits, open and past due invoices, and items pending approval
• Recognize discrepancies between Purchase Orders, Vendor Invoices, and Vendor Packing Lists, and work with Warehouse Manager and Purchasing department to resolve issues
• Produce weekly payment runs
• Maintain well-organized filing system for Accounts Payable documentation and vendor records
• Assist Human Resources department with light administrative work as needed
• Reconcile vendor account statements and respond to vendor requests in a timely manner
• Ensure correct documentation is obtained for new vendors
• Assist in preparation of annual 1099 forms
• Other duties as assigned
