Summary :
Reports to the Medical Staff Services Information Systems Manager and working closely with department professional staff provides assistance in the planning reviewing and completion of relevant projects to support the department and hospital-wide needs for informational reports. Prepares and maintains a variety of statistical and informational reports related to medical staff credentialing quality indicators and outcomes measurements. Provides day-to-day operation and maintenance of Lifespan's electronic health records system. Maintains ongoing operations through system updates report processing managing tickets / requests maintaining security and providing overall support to end users.
Responsibilities :
Provides support to Medical Staff Services staff and external department requests in the development and production of a variety of statistical and informational reports relative to medical staff credentialing quality indicators and outcomes data.
Prepares and reviews analytic reports designed to validate data and provide trending information for analysis by others. Performs special intra-departmental projects as needed.
Prepares related spreadsheets and databases needed for analyses. Accesses various databases to search for data and downloads relevant information to develop reports. Requests special report runs and modify report specifications as needed to meet user needs.
Generates reports with necessary quality and statistical information. Ensures reports meet needs of department management and administration for various levels of detail versus summarized information.
Responsible for the coordination of all data entry data validation and database enhancement solutions in the DocMaster (Epic)database. Regularly reviews the system and conducts data cleaning and auditing procedures for quality control. Maintains and ensures the confidentiality and integrity of all data reviewed. Keeps log of data problems encountered problem resolution and regularly reviews with Manager.
Responsible for the coordination of all the activation and de-activation processes for credentialed providers into the IAM DocMaster (Epic) and NetLearning system. Ensures follow-up with appropriate specialist once new provider access has been completed.
Recommends methods to monitor update and assess quality of data available for reporting needs. Alerts Manager to data inconsistencies.
Consolidates statistical database information into visual presentations using personal computer graphics flow-charting histograms etc. to make technical information userfriendly to physicians and other committee members. Troubleshoot problems within department database systems.
Summarize results of data collection necessary for preparation of quality reports to support hospital and medical staff quality monitoring and improvement activities.
Maintains quality assurance and safety accordance with established hospital department policies procedures and objectives.
Performs other related duties as required.
Other information : BASIC KNOWLEDGE :
Equivalent to a bachelors degree in Computer Science Business Administration or a related field required. A combination of computer-related technical training and working experience may substitute for a degree.
EXPERIENCE :
Two to three years of related experience with information systems. High level of experience working in Provider Data Management.
Exhibit a high energy level and demonstrate the ability to work as a valuable contributor to the team with flexibility in work habits to schedule and meet the needs of the Department
Ability to multi-task plan and prioritize a large volume of detail-oriented work in accordance with changing deadlines
Advanced computer skills including but not limited to Microsoft Outlook Microsoft Word and Excel and demonstrated ability to conduct Internet research in an efficient productive manner
