1st Shift : Mon-Fri 7 : 00am - 3 : 00pm

2nd Shift :  Mon-Fri 4 : 00pm - 12 : 45am Location : Knoxville, TN, 37921

Summary

The forklift operator for 48forty Solutions moves pallets and other materials through the different areas of the pallet plant, supporting production requirements as well as loading and unloading trailers. 48forty general labor or forklift operators also power sort pallets as part of their daily responsibilities in some locations. The forklift operator is responsible for making decisions regarding the movement of pallets or materials to maximize the efficiency. The operator moves levers and presses pedals to drive the fork truck and control the movement of the lifting apparatus. They position forks, lifting platforms, or other lifting devices under, over, or around loaded pallets and transport the load to designated areas. The driver unloads and stacks material by raising and lowering the lifting device. Forklifts must be operated with extreme care, adhering to company safety procedures at all times. Forklift operators must achieve expected production requirements while maintaining a clean and safe working environment. 48forty Solutions is excited to welcome new team members to the plant every day.

Requirements :

• 3-5 years sit down Forklift experience is preferred
• Requires quick hands, attention to detail, commitment to quality
• Observance of all safety rules and regulations
• Willing to work in a labor intensive environment
• Ability to communicate effectively
• Willing to work overtime as needed
• Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, lumber, carpentry, lumber, welding, roofing, and / or construction is strongly preferred
