Role Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail‑oriented Knowledge Base Content Developer / Technical Writer to lead the creation, editing, and maintenance of self‑help knowledge‑base articles for both internal and external users. As an experienced and tech‑savvy writer, you’ll take an active role in identifying knowledge gaps and developing clear, effective content to fill them. Working closely with subject‑matter experts, you’ll translate complex operational and technical processes into concise, user‑friendly documentation that supports a wide range of audiences and empowers Quiktrak’s teams and customers.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, write, and maintain knowledge‑base articles, how‑to guides, FAQs, and step‑by‑step documentation that support our inspection and audit services.
Collaborate with internal teams to identify knowledge gaps and document best practices.
Use Document360 to manage content structure, metadata, versioning, and analytics.
Ensure consistency in tone, style, and terminology across all content.
Maintain an editorial calendar—update existing articles, retire outdated content, and prioritize new documentation needs.
Create searchable, accessible, and visually clear articles that help users find what they need quickly.
Create and edit supporting visuals and multimedia—including screenshots, GIFs, and short instructional videos—using tools such as Camtasia, Snagit, Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator, Photoshop, Premiere Pro, etc.), or equivalent software.
Monitor usage metrics and user feedback to continuously improve content quality and effectiveness.
Required Qualifications
3+ years of professional experience in technical writing or knowledge‑base content development.
Proven ability to create clear, accurate, and engaging user‑facing documentation.
Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills.
Experience working with subject‑matter experts to translate technical or process‑heavy information into accessible content.
Familiarity with knowledge‑base or content‑management systems (e.g., Document360, Zendesk, Confluence).
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple documentation projects simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in a B2B, financial‑services, or risk‑management environment.
Understanding of content performance analytics (e.g., search terms, ticket deflection, article feedback).
Ability to produce or edit visuals (short videos, GIFs, screenshots, flow diagrams, annotated steps).
