Experienced Welder needed for a growing Industrial Construction Company!
In this position, it will be your responsibility to cut and join metals and other materials at our facility or industrial sites for an industrial construction company. The primary way in which you’ll do this is by welding together different types of metals from stainless steel, carbon steel, aluminum, etc. You will operate appropriate equipment to put together mechanical structures or parts with a great deal of precision. Your job is important as it provides the foundation for strong infrastructure.
Pay & Benefits
- $26 to $32 Per Hour (Based on Experience)

Job Requirements :
Read blueprints and drawings and take or read measurements to plan layout and proceduresDetermine the appropriate welding equipment or method based on requirementsSet up components for welding according to specifications (e.g. cut material with powered saws to match measurements)Use clamps, brackets, and / or hangers to secure weld siteRemove slags and rough spots from workpieces by operating grinders or scrapers to ensure smooth work surfaceEmploy their knowledge of metallurgy to determine materials and equipment most suitable for a welding projectClean and prepare workpieces using chemical solutions etc. to remove foreign matter such as grease, rust etc.Use heating furnaces to preheat metal pipes prior to welding or bendingCut and shape metal components to set specifications using power saws, chipping knives or other hand toolsFill holes, cracks, and dents on metal workpiecesUse micrometers, calipers and other precision measuring instruments to check gap allowances, grooves or anglesControl and turn valves or regulators to adjust flames and ensure proper use of welding gasWear appropriate protective gear and ensure compliance with established health / safety regulationsMaintain equipment in a condition that does not compromise safetyTest and inspect welded surfaces and structures to discover flaws, “ weld as if every weld will be X-rayed and inspected ”Any other duties assignedQualifications :
Pass a 6G Monster / Small Bore Coupons and / or 2G, 3G, 4G Structural Plate TestAll weld tests will meet the ASME IX acceptance criteria and will be X-ray testedProven experience as a welderExperience using a variety of welding equipment and procedures (TIG, MIG, Flux Core, etc.)Experience in using electrical or manual tools (saws, squares, calipers, etc.)Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawingsKnowledge of relative safety standards and willingness to use protective clothing (face-shield, gloves, etc.)Ability to read labels, safety warnings, and guidelinesAlways attentive to detail and alert to ensure safetyAbility to receive and follow instructions and communicate with co-workersWork Conditions and Physical Capabilities :
