Join our dynamic laboratory team as a Medical Technologist, where you will play a crucial role in patient care by preparing and testing patient samples. Your expertise will ensure the accuracy and reliability of laboratory results using advanced techniques and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patient samples for testing and determine the acceptability of specimens and results.
• Repeat specimen testing as necessary to ensure accuracy.
• Perform Hematology, Chemistry, and Urinalysis testing.
• Conduct laboratory tests and procedures using techniques such as ELISA, RNA extraction, and flow cytometry.
• Execute a variety of manual, semi-automated, and automated Biochemical, Hematological, Microbiological, and / or Blood Bank analyses on varied patient specimens.
• Maintain, calibrate, operate, and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation to ensure proper functionality.
• Accurately prepare, label, and store reagents, standards, controls, and specimens for analysis.
• Report accurate and timely test results to deliver quality patient care.
• Participate in quality assurance and quality improvement activities.
• Identify and replenish testing bench supplies as necessary.
• Recognize normal, abnormal, unusual, and critical results and take appropriate action as established by laboratory policy.
• Verify accuracy of results and initiate corrective action when indicated.

Work Environment

The role is based 100% onsite in a blood bank lab, located on the 6th floor. You will be part of a team environment, working the third shift from 10 : 00 PM to 6 : 30 AM, five days a week, with an every-other-weekend rotation. When scheduled to work weekends, weekdays off will be provided.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Miami, FL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $38.00 - $38.00 / hr.
