Job Description
ASRC Federal Facilities Logistics, a subsidiary of ASRC Federal, is seeking a Junior Buyer to support our programs in Fairfield, NJ.
This role is a hybrid position that will allow for some days remote and some in the office.
Key Role :
- Reviews incoming Government solicitations daily using filtering software and evaluates prospective contract opportunities and issues Request for Quotes (RFQs).
- Reviews estimates of material cost and delivery schedules from suppliers and prepares bids.
- Conducts RFQ and PO Expediting. Monitors performance of suppliers.
- Determines when deliveries may be delayed and update the customer.
- Reviews and resolves shipping and supplier payment discrepancies; assists buyers, program managers and other team members.
- Performs data entry, runs status reports, maintains records associated with bids, purchases, shipments, returns of damaged items and related supply chain events.
- Interface and communicate with suppliers and customers to ensure thorough order processing and customer service.

Basic Qualifications :
Bachelors / Associate degree and 2+ years of relevant customer service experienceMust be authorized to work in theProficiency in Microsoft Office applicationsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsProficient Customer Service skillsAdditional Qualifications
Experience in purchasing activities, supplier / vendor expediting, RFQs, follow-up with requestsPrior experience in Government contracting a plus
