Under the direction of the Director of Student Life and Leadership The Activities Coordinator provides direct advising support to CSUNs fraternity and sorority life community promotes compliance with University and system-wide policies facilitates trainings coordinates risk management and hazing prevention education evaluates program effectiveness and participates actively in campus-wide initiatives.
- Provides advisement to the Interfraternity Council (IFC) and Panhellenic Council (PHC) and supports the formal and informal recruitment and membership intake processes for IFC and PHC chapters.
- Plans the annual Greek advisor training and assists with updating the advisor handbook and other educational resources. Supports planning and marketing for hazing prevention efforts.
- Reviews programs events and activities for consistent application of risk management standards
- Performs other duties as assigned.

- Equivalent to two years of professional experience in one of the student services program areas or in a related field.
- A Masters degree in a job-related field may be substituted for one year of the professional experience.
- Additional specialized and relevant experience may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis.
- Membership in a fraternity or sorority and experience with Interfraternity Council and Panhellenic Council organizations is preferred.

Strong organizational skills.Ability to manage competing priorities and apply effective time management skills to meet short and long-term goals. Demonstrated experience planning and evaluating mid to large scale events. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to establish and maintain positive and cooperative working relationships with students staff faculty administrators and the public.A positive and respective attitude. The salary range for this classification is : $5083 - $7228 per month.HOURS : Full Time; 40 hours per week; Monday through Friday.
