2026 Summer Health Equity Internship

Your Role

The Health Qualify and Affordability team is a part of our larger Strategy & Health Solutions team which oversees provider partnerships & network management, health transformation acceleration, innovation, healthcare services, strategy, planning, and operations functions and responsibilities at Blue Shield.

Health Equity team leads the strategy and development of health equity initiatives across the organization. The Health Equity portfolio includes integrating health equity principles and community-based solutions to design data-driven initiatives to reduce inequities and improve the health and care of our members and communities. The health equity intern will report to a Principal Program Manager within the business. In this role he / she / they will work cross-functionally to support a variety of health equity initiatives aimed at preventive screening for inequities and healthcare outcomes, birthing equity, and getting and using meaningful data.
