Job Summary

The Office Assistant will provide office support and greet a diverse population of students, faculty, staff, and community members at the Center for Health Careers Education and welcome desk. The Office Assistant will also be responsible for determining needs of students, faculty, staff and community members and referring them as needed.

Duties :

• Responds to students, visitors, and others in person via email, virtual meetings, and / or telephone while demonstrating a high level of customer service
• Schedule and check in appointments
• Sort mail
• Collect data and perform data entry
• Other routine office functions and clerical tasks, office procedures, etc.
• Assist and support Healthcare & Nursing Academic Advisors and Sr. Admin with various projects and college events.

Additional Information

In order to qualify for a Federal Work-Study (FWS) job, a FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) must be on file for the current award year and have eligible financial needs based on the college requirements.  Please for more information prior to applying to a Federal Work-Study job.

Minimum Qualifications

Must be a GateWay Community College student registered for 6 or more credit hours and received financial aid eligibility.
