Event Rental Specialist

They act as ambassadors to the public and clientele and are the face of the Client's mission and philosophy.
The Event Rentals Specialist purpose is to assist our clients with their event rental needs, and make the whole process of designing, selecting and booking as easy and flawless as possible to venues, designers, event planners, and brides. The Event Rental Specialist will work from the showroom and will take orders over the phone, via email, and from showroom appointments and walk-ins. The job requires constant interaction with clients.
Salary : $42-50K + Commissions
Position Tasks & Activities :
Assist Outside and Insides Sales Associates with their orders and clients.
Assist Customers in the showroom.
Recommend rental equipment to customers that best meets their needs.
Explain rental fees and provide information about rented items, such as operation or description. Also explains damage waiver options.
Rents equipment or arranges for provision of service to customer.
Compute charges based on rental or service rate.
Prepare rental forms and contract. Obtain customer signature and other required information.
Maintain daily contract file.
Collect deposits and / or payments.
Update and call overdue list daily and alerts supervisor of overdue contracts.
Answer incoming phone calls and process orders.
Accept delivery and in-store returns and placed in appropriate area for inspection.
Maintain a clean showroom and equipment. Arrange showroom displays. Keep shelves organized, stocked and clean. Maintain the showroom, which can include the following :
o Counter and floor behind counter
o Displays and merchandise in the showroom.
o Customer restroom
o Showroom floor
o Front office and break room.
Network with other industry professionals.
Adhere to all company policies, procedures, rules, and regulations in written or verbal form.
Performs other duties as requested.
Skills & Qualifications :
2+-year event, event services, hospitality or banquet sales, event management and coordination with customer service experience.
Ability to interpret policies and procedures.
Excellent negotiation and influencing skills.
Excellent organization and planning skills.
Must possess solid communication skills, including verbal, written and listening skills in order to effectively and efficiently communicate with customers and fellow associates.
Well organized and detail oriented, proven special event leadership skills.
Ability to multi-task and manage client project deadlines as needed.
Works well under pressure and could meet tight deadlines.
Ability to handle conflicts professionally and appropriately.
Must possess the ability to accept constructive review and be accountable for one’s own success as well as the success of your team.
Team Player.
Ability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays.
Education / Requirements :
Minimum education requirement : High School Diploma.
Must be able to speak English clearly and write legibly.
Proficient in MS Office & Canva
Training in rental software will be provided.
Must maintain a professional personal appearance.
Must possess sales and customer relation skills.
Must be able to use mathematics to solve problems.
Must maintain an acceptable attendance record.
Must be able to provide, understand and complete instructions furnished in written, oral or scheduled form.
Maintain a cooperative working relationship with co-workers.
Must be able to maintain a high degree of patience.
Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to) : $42,000.00 - $50,000.00 Per Year
