Network Designer III (Government)

This position requires office presence of a minimum of 5 days per week and is only located at customer's site. No relocation is offered.

AT&T has an opening for a Network Designer III to support our government customer’s bespoke network environment. The Networks Team provides initial design and deployment of a unique access solution for our customer, followed by continuing operations and engineering of service delivery solutions. This is an opportunity to build a network from the ground up and operate it over a 10 year contract.

Job Duties / Responsibilities :

• Interpret customer requirements and apply standard design approaches for service delivery. Fully document designs with diagrams, bill of materials, cabling sheets, configurations, and other supporting documents.
• Develop secure network designs including configurations that align with Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) and enterprise policies. Obtain Authority to Operate (ATO) for new devices, software, and capabilities.
• Install, configure and support network equipment including routers, switches, firewalls, call managers, and network management suites.
• Procure network equipment and manage subcontractors involved with network installation.
• Configure firewalls, routing, and switching to maximize network efficiency and advanced security.
• Maximize network performance through ongoing monitoring and troubleshooting.
• Investigate faults in the network and report network status to key stakeholders.
• Develop and improve design products, processes, and systems for our team to work efficiently and effectively.

Required Clearance :

TS / SCI with poly (#tssci) (#polygraph)

Required Qualifications :

Candidate must have 16 years of experience that can be a combination of work history and education. This equates to a doctorate and 8 years of experience OR a master’s and 10 years, a bachelor’s and 12 years, an associates and 14 years or HS and 16 years. Our Network Designer III's earn between $89,200- $190,000. Not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education / training.
