Salary : Pay starts at $26 per hour
Mission : Helping survivors of domestic violence heal and thrive in safe and supportive communities.
Hours : Part-time (24 hours / week) Monday through Thursday. This position will work a flexible, hybrid schedule with flexibility for daytime, evening, and occasional weekend events. This is a non-exempt position. Work will be based out of TSSs administrative office located in Newtonville, MA, as well as will require travel to and from events.
Essential Service : The Second Step is considered an essential service organization. This position is designated as an essential employee who may be required to report to work during times when the Commonwealth declares a state of emergency or stay at home orders.
Reports to : Director of Prevention Education
Primary Objectives : The Prevention Educator will play a key role in expanding The Second Steps violence prevention and education work across the community. This role focuses on delivering engaging presentations, building culturally responsive outreach materials, coordinating events, and deepening partnerships with a wide variety of trusted spacesfrom schools and service agencies to libraries, salons, housing authorities, local businesses and organizations, and more.

Compensation and Benefits : Pay rate starts at $26 per hour for 24 hours / week. Benefits include 403(b) plan with employer matching up to 3%, life and disability insurance through Colonial Life, Employee Assistance Program (EAP), and professional development opportunities.
