Essential Functions :
Assists in strategic planning for the department.
Acts as the department liaison, meeting with students to discuss curriculum, schedules, grades, and concerns in the absence of the Associate Dean.
Assists as a content specialist and serves as a curricular resource for adjunct faculty by supplying sample syllabi, distributing exit exams and related materials, mentoring adjuncts, and supporting the Associate Dean.
Collaborates with lab staff and coordinators to enhance lab procedures, materials, and techniques.
Meets with full-time and adjunct faculty in Science Lab as necessary to review syllabi, textbooks, and course requirements.
Assists with implementing technology in the classroom.
Implements effective wellness programs and analyzes their impact before and after implementation. Tracks results and recommends modifications, changes, additions, or cancellations to these programs.
Assists in developing policies and procedures for the wellness program.
Performs related duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities :
In-depth functional knowledge and expertise in area of specialization and general knowledge of related areas in the College
Ability to perform complex administrative analysis with only general supervision
Strong diagnostic, analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent coordination and communication skills used appropriately influence the decision-making of individuals and groups at all levels in the College
Ability to plan and manage own work flow, priorities and results accomplishment
Requires the ability to present and disseminate data to various levels
Requires advanced knowledge of computerized systems and operating environments i.e. Microsoft Office Products and specialized computer systems
Ability to interact and effectively communicate with a diverse employee and student population
