job_description.job_card.job_descriptionEstimating & Takeoffs : Perform detailed quantity takeoffs and cost estimates for labor, materials, and equipment on commercial roofing projects (TPO, Mod-Bit, EPDM, coatings, BUR, etc.). Bid Preparation : Develop complete, accurate, and competitive bids, proposals, and scopes of work. Technical Analysis : Review project drawings, specifications, and contracts for technical accuracy and constructability. Vendor & Subcontractor Coordination : Obtain, review, and analyze vendor and subcontractor pricing. Collaboration : Partner closely with project managers, field teams, and company leadership to ensure smooth handoff and project alignment. Process Management : Maintain organized bid records, cost histories, and performance data for future estimating reference. Client Interaction : Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, architects, and GCs to clarify scopes and resolve discrepancies. 5+ years of experience in commercial roofing estimating (reroof and new construction). Strong technical acumen and ability to interpret detailed drawings, specifications, and scope documents. Proficiency in The EDGE or similar estimating software (preferred). In-depth knowledge of commercial roofing systems (TPO, EPDM, Mod-Bit, BUR, coatings, etc.). Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) . Competitive Pay : $100K–$120K base salary, depending on experience. Tiello has partnered with a leading Commercial Roofing Contractor in the West Palm, FL area that is seeking an experienced Technical Estimator to join their growing team. This individual will play a key role in accurately preparing detailed estimates and proposals for commercial reroof and new construction projects , ensuring precision, compliance, and profitability across all bids.
