Travel Surgical / Operating Room Tech

Location : Syracuse, NY

Assignment Length : 13 weeks

Shift : Days / Evenings | 5x8-hour shifts

Job Summary :

HumanEdge Health is seeking experienced Surgical / Operating Room Technologists for assignments in the Community and Downtown ORs. Candidates must have a minimum of 3 years recent OR experience in a Level 1 trauma center or equivalent facility. This role requires proficiency in general surgery and specialty cases including ortho, ENT, vascular, GYN, and others. Certified Surgical Tech credential is required.

Assignment Details : Duration : 13 weeks

Schedule : 5x8-hour shifts, days or evenings

Qualifications :

Minimum 3 years recent OR experience within the past 4 years in an acute care facility of similar size or specialty – Required

Level 1 trauma center or teaching hospital experience preferred

Scrub experience – Required

Operating room experience in general surgery and specialty areas : ortho, neurosurgery, trauma, vascular, ENT, bariatric, GU, GYN

Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) – Required

Duties & Responsibilities :

Scrub and circulate in operating room cases in accordance with hospital and OR protocols

Assist surgical team in preparation and intraoperative support for general and specialty surgeries

Maintain sterile field and instrument setup for procedures

Perform general OR tech duties with minimal orientation and supervision

Ensure patient safety and adherence to infection control standards
