ICU Nurse Job Details

Location : Reno, NV 89521 (Nevada nursing jobs)

Unit : Medical ICU (8 beds)

Assignment Type : Travel Nursing

Duration : 13-week contract

Shift : 12-hour nights (18 : 45 – 07 : 15), 3 shifts / week

Open Positions : 2 ICU RN jobs

Holiday Requirements : Must work 2 of 3 major holidays (Eve + Day = 1 holiday)

ICU RN Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of recent Medical ICU experience required

Active Nevada RN license (required for Nevada healthcare jobs)

Travel nursing experience preferred

Ability to float to other hospital units within competency

Willingness to work weekends and major holidays as scheduled

ICU Nurse Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality patient care using the nursing process for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients

Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans

Collaborate with intensivists, critical care technicians, and interdisciplinary healthcare team members

Serve as ICU Charge RN and Rapid Response RN as scheduled

Provide comprehensive nursing services, including coordination with families and caregivers

Demonstrate expertise in managing chest pain and critical care scenarios (patients requiring cath lab or IR are transferred to another campus)

Maintain high standards of patient safety and quality care

Float to other units as needed, based on hospital requirements
