Special Education Mentor / Teacher - URGENT NEED

Location : East Granby, CT Area.

Schedule : Monday-Friday, 1st shift hours (school schedule), Part-Time (15-18) hours per week.

Pay : $19+ / hour (based on education and experience).

Now, we’re looking for passionate, patient, and positive educators to join our team as Special Education Mentors / Learning Specialists . If you love working 1 : 1 with students and seeing real progress happen every day-this is the role for you!

What You’ll Do :

As a Learning Mentor , you’ll provide hands-on educational support and life skills coaching to students with disabilities who are transitioning from high school into adulthood. Every day brings something new and meaningful!

You’ll :

• Provide individualized instruction in community-based settings.
• Teach real-world skills like job readiness, communication, and independence.
• Support students in navigating academics and life goals.
• Track student progress and maintain IEP portfolios.
• Apply effective behavior management and positive support strategies.
• Travel locally (within 30 miles) to meet students where they are.
