Job Description

We are seeking skilled welders to perform MIG, Pulse style Hardwire .045 welding on hard steel materials, ranging from 3 / 8" to 4" thick. The role involves ultrasonic welding requiring high precision and skill, in a heat-treat style environment. Candidates will be responsible for their own setups, layouts, and fixture fit-ups. Eventually, welders will receive certification and training to work on booms and other components for concrete boom trucks. All welding work is X-Rayed, certified, and demands high detail.

Responsibilities

• Perform MIG, Pulse style Hardwire .045 welding on heavy gauge materials.
• Conduct ultrasonic welding with high precision.
• Handle welding setups, layouts, and fit-ups independently.
• Achieve certification to weld components of concrete boom trucks.
• Ensure all welding work is X-Rayed and certified for quality.

Work Environment

The work environment is team-oriented yet laid-back, with a focus on independence. It is clean, organized, and not overly loud or dusty compared to other shops. The weld shop houses about 35 professionals, creating a collaborative atmosphere. Working hours are typically from 6am to 2 : 30pm, Monday through Friday, with heavy overtime available, often from 5am to 3 : 30pm. The facility features heavy cranes and large machinery, requiring awareness and safety.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Saint Paul, MN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $26.00 / hr.
