Orthodontic Assistant
Southeast Orthodontics is looking for an orthodontic assistant to join their team. They are committed to providing best in class patient care and focus on putting every patient first, every visit. They partner with North American Dental Group to provide the necessary support to fulfill their purpose of ensuring excellent patient care. They travel between Raynham and Lakeville. The pay rate is $20.00-28.00 per hour.
Responsibilities
The orthodontic assistant partners with the practice team to provide excellent clinical support to help patients get the care they need. They prepare the patient for treatment and assist the orthodontist by preparing materials and equipment for treatment. They also provide excellent chair-side clinical support and assistance to doctors, including charting, operatory set / clean up, and patient education. They record and review patient health history, make chart entries under the doctor's direction, and assure completion of forms and signatures in dental software. They enter and update patient treatment plans at the direction of the treating doctor, change and remove wires, brackets, and adhesive, take impressions, take scans, prepare teeth for bonding, prepare treatment estimates for review and discussion with patient, review the daily schedule to set up appropriate trays and instruments, prepare patient, sterilize and disinfect instruments, set up instrument trays, maintain chain of asepsis, prepare materials, and assist dentist during dental procedures following OSHA guidelines.
Qualifications
To fill this role, you should have 0-2 years' experience, state licensure where specified, valid dental radiographer license for respective state requirements, and CPR certification. You should also have a commitment to providing exceptional service, support, and education to patients.
