Site Service Manager

The Opportunity :

In this role you will report to the Onsite Manager and will work closely with the Avantors Lab and Production Services professionals to serve our customers by performing customized mission-based lab work and research protocols that help return time back to science.

Location : Cambridge MA

Annual Salary Range : $110000 - $125000

Annual Bonus : up to 5%

1st Shift with Flexibility Required : Must be available to support the business during standard operating hours with the ability to adapt as needed based on business demands.

Travel Requirements : 10%

What were looking for

Education : BA / BS required.

Experience : Minimum 7 -10 years of experience managing medium to large teams across multiple logistics and scientific services.

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office required with a strong focus on Excel and PowerPoint.

Experience in overseeing complex operations managing multiple layers of teams and aligning objectives across departments.

Demonstrated experience managing internal and external change.

Experience in both team leadership and hands-on management is crucial.

Proven ability to step in and handle emergency situations or urgent customer needs quickly and effectively.

Experience in process implementation and continuous improvement efforts. Ability to streamline operations for better efficiency.

Avantors Advanced Laboratory Services team is a crucial part of the Avantor Services group serving over 500 customers in biopharma pharmaceutical educational industrial and high-tech industries with customizable flexible solutions and end-to-end laboratory operations this role you will :

Managing a team of 30 employees at multiple levels in Cambridge MA.

Overseeing multiple layers of operations and teams.

Establishing clear expectations setting boundaries and holding the team accountable for their actions.

Supporting the team in handling difficult customer situations with professionalism and diplomacy.

Excellent problem-solving capabilities and confidence to make clear decisions and provide clear direction.

Exceptional planning organizational analytical and networking skills

Maintaining transparency with customers regarding service commitments ensuring they are kept informed.

Acting as the first point of contact for all customer-related matters especially in urgent situations.

Being adaptable and ready to manage emergency situations when required.

Respecting and embracing diverse cultures fostering an inclusive work environment.

Leading efforts to implement process and procedural changes while continuously driving improvement.

Leveraging strong data analysis skills to communicate effectively drive business results and meet customer expectations.

Strong ability to set clear boundaries and hold both yourself and your team accountable for actions ensuring responsibilities are met and standards are upheld.
