Job Description summary
The VP of Franchise Portfolio Management leads Azurity’s Strategic Portfolio Management function, planning, building, and managing a balanced product portfolio through the entire lifecycle (“cradle to grave”) to meet category targets within a 5‑year financial model. The role ideates, selects, and oversees development of portfolio assets that fit Azurity criteria, match patient needs, and capture market opportunity. The VP informs BD efforts to supplement internal development, employs techniques to determine customer needs, analyzes data sources for strategy, owns the PLM process, and leads cross‑functional teams to drive product development, launch, enhancements, line extensions, and end‑of‑life decisions.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain comprehensive subject‑matter expertise for the category through research, advisory boards, market scanning, competitive intelligence, and customer input.
- Ideate and select products to construct a funnel of candidates for development, each with a compelling TPP, driving progress through development, registration, and launch.
- Continue to drive product enhancements and line extensions post‑launch and plan effective replacement and withdrawal at end‑of‑life.
- Own and drive PLM stage‑gates 1–9 at scale, convening A3 cross‑functional teams and ensuring criteria are met at every stage, pushing functions to deliver on budget and timeline.
- Develop and maintain a balanced strategic plan for the category, managing replacement of mature assets and growing revenue over the long term.
- Challenge business development to provide complementary assets.
- Develop external partnerships to access new technologies and enhance portfolio development.
