Instructional Assistant

Instructional A ssistant Responsibilities :

• Instructional Support : Works with small groups of students in an instructional capacity such as assisting students ( individually or in groups ) with lesson assignments.
• Environment Management : Assists in maintaining an appropriate classroom environment in order to ensure a safe and positive learning experience.
• Monitoring : Monitors individual students in the classroom, library, or during playground activities to ensure a safe and positive learning environment.
• Activity Assistance : Monitors and assists students during various classroom activities (examples : art, literacy, fine motor skills , bathrooming ).
• Clerical Tasks : Assists with clerical duties such as record keeping, typing, duplicating , and using a variety of instructional media, office machines, and equipment.
• Relationship Building : Establishes and maintains a cooperative relationship with parents, students, and teachers .

Physical Demands :

Position is Part Time with schedule each Monday and Wednesday from 8 : 30am-4 : 30pm.
