About the Role
The Company is in search of a Vice President for Private Valuation. The successful candidate will be tasked with leading the development and enhancement of the valuation framework for private instruments, as well as performing independent valuations for a wide range of securities, including structured products, private equity, private credit, and other illiquid investments. This high-impact role requires the ability to conduct hands-on valuation calculations, analyze market data to determine inputs for valuation models, and prepare clear documentation of valuation procedures for reporting and audits. The VP will also be responsible for coordinating with third-party valuation experts, pricing vendors, and auditors to ensure the accuracy and robustness of the valuation process. Applicants must have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, with 7-10 years' experience in preparing or auditing private security valuations, and at least 5 years of hands-on private credit valuation experience. A CPA, CFA, or other relevant certifications are considered a plus. The role demands a deep knowledge of private credit instruments, structured debt, bank loans, and other illiquid securities, as well as expertise in technical accounting standards and valuation methodologies for complex / private investments. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required, and experience with Bloomberg and market data tools is also necessary. The VP will be expected to support traditional investment valuation workflows and present valuation matters to senior committees, including Valuation Committees and Fund Boards.
