The Senior Accountant applies well-established accounting principles, theories, concepts, and practices to moderately difficult financial problems.
Responsibilities
- Perform centralized accounting and full-cycle month end close process for assigned business unit and clinic locations
- Perform general ledger maintenance, financial statement analysis, balance sheet reconciliations, accrual accounting, and variance analysis
- Communicate and work with operational personnel in field, as well as all levels of corporate management
- Assist management to ensure proper controls and SOX compliance requirements are met
- Assist in identifying and implementing process improvements
- Perform assigned accounting projects
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance from an accredited college or university or equivalent education and experienceIn lieu of undergraduate degree, the ratio is 1 : 1 meaning one year of college equals one year of work experience and vice versaCPA would be a plusCustomarily has at least five or more years of experience in full cycle month end close process, account reconciliation and variance analysisExperience with multi-location and multi-legal entity accountingExperience in a challenging, complex financial reporting environmentOracle or other ERP experienceJob Related Skills / Competencies
