Duties, Responsibilities & Other

KCI Technologies is hiring a Marine Structural Engineer-in-Training to join our team in New York, NY. This opportunity is intended for Spring 2026 graduates, with the position starting in Summer 2026.

• Performs work that involves conventional types of plans, investigations, surveys, structures or equipment.
• Assignments include but are not limited to : design and development, testing of materials, preparation of specifications, process study, research investigations, report preparation, and other activities of limited scope requiring knowledge of principles and techniques commonly employed in a specific, narrow area of assignments.
• Works collaboratively with internal and external partners on multidisciplinary design / engineering projects.
• Coordinates the work of Engineers and others who may assist on specific assignments, as required.
• Reviews input from Project or Technical Managers and makes the necessary adjustments and corrections to work product.
• Performs work in a timely and effective manner within assigned schedules and budgets.
• Experience on all phases of design as well as provided construction administration / bid phase services is preferred
• Field experience and ability to work with clients, contractors, and other disciplines is preferred not required
• EIT is preferred. Ability to get in 1 year is required.
• Multi-tasker with ability to perform structural design and development of construction drawings for concrete, wood, and steel structures.
