Our business is growing at an incredible rate, and we are looking for a Corporate Accountant II to join Sweetwater's Accounting team to support our growing organization! The Corporate Accountant II will play a critical role in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting month-end close, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. This position is ideal for a driven professional who enjoys problem-solving, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is ready to take on greater responsibility while mentoring junior team members.
Job Responsibilities :
- Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, and account analyses to ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP and company policies.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies across sub-ledgers, reports, and systems, collaborating with teams across the organization.
- Participate in the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timeliness and accuracy of financial results.
- Assist with internal and external audits by preparing supporting documentation and addressing auditor inquiries.
- Identify process improvements, contribute to policy and procedure development, and support system enhancements.
- Partner with FP&A and business leaders to analyze budget fluctuations and provide insight into financial results.
- Take ownership of special projects and ad-hoc reporting that support business growth and decision-making.
- Coach, mentor, and serve as a resource to junior accounting staff.
Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.3+ years of accounting experience.Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with attention to detail.Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional partners and external auditors.Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and familiarity with accounting systems.Experience working with data, reporting tools, and BI platforms.CPA candidate or working toward certification is preferred.Experience in a fast-growth or multi-entity environment preferred.Advanced Excel and ERP system knowledge preferred.Sweetwater “Ideal” Team-Player
