Credit and collections specialist

The Credit & Collections Specialist serves as the primary liaison between manufacturer's credit and collections teams and the companies field sales organization. This role is responsible for overseeing the credit review process, managing the collections process, and ensuring all orders are credit approved and cleared in a timely manner. The specialist will drive process improvements, support customer conversations regarding credit, and provide regular risk reporting to leadership.

salary : $70,000 - $80,000 per year

Responsibilities

• Risk & Quarter-End Management : Review and communicate the credit status of all opportunities and scheduled backlog, ensuring orders clear credit by quarter-end deadlines.
• A / R Coordination : Act as the primary conduit between the Collections / Risk teams and the Sales organization to bridge communication gaps and identify at-risk customers.
• Customer-Facing Support : Join customer calls as needed to assist the sales team in resolving payment issues and barriers caused by credit holds.
• Process Control : Monitor and clear high-priority orders stuck in the "Credit Penalty Box." Maintain visibility of accounts nearing credit hold and communicate risk to leadership.
• Continuous Improvement : Drive process standardization and continuous improvement initiatives related to credit and collections workflows for the sales channel.
