Job Title
Key job responsibilities include creating and maintaining project plans for all aspects of the translation workflow. This includes creating projects and performing other administrative tasks in the translation management system. Provide first-level support and manage expectations with translation customers, vendors, and partners. Organize files and manage pre-translation file preparation. Facilitate reviews and ensure feedback is properly saved to translation memories. Identify and support improvements to processes or tools where needed. Contribute to a positive team culture that focuses on doing great work while learning and growing.
Basic qualifications include a bachelor's degree in communications, business, linguistics, or equivalent, experience working with global teams or customers, strong written and verbal communication skills, and great organization and time management skills.
Preferred qualifications include experience with translation management systems, experience with learning design and development teams, and experience with machine translation with post-editing MTPE projects.
Day to day, ensure details are clear when a request comes in, routing to the correct person to prep files, routing to linguists, and managing dates / assigning / keeping track of the process. This is a 50 / 50 split between calls and individual work. There is a status call with the team in the AM and a call with the internal team that the developer has what they need. Updating dates, building project plans, and answering emails to communicate status are also part of the job.
Job type and location : This is a contract position based out of Nashville, TN. The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $29.00 / hr.
