CAD Designer - Electrical / Utility-Scale Projects

Location : Remote or Florida-based preferred

We are seeking an experienced CAD Designer with strong AutoCAD expertise and a passion for automation and process improvement . This role goes far beyond traditional drafting - you'll play a key role in building smarter, database-driven workflows that integrate Excel with CAD to reduce repetitive work and improve accuracy.

Key Responsibilities :

• Drafting & Design : Produce electrical layouts, single-line diagrams (SLDs), and detailed drawings in AutoCAD to support utility-scale and MEP projects.
• Excel-CAD Integration : Develop workflows that pull calculation results directly from Excel into CAD drawings, eliminating manual copy-paste processes.
• Database Development : Build and maintain structured libraries of components (modules, inverters, transformers, blocks, title sheets, etc.) for efficient dynamic referencing.
• Automation : Create user-friendly Excel input sheets where minimal site parameters can automatically generate SLDs, elevation drawings, and project deliverables.
• Process Improvement : Standardize CAD blocks, templates, and XREFs into scalable systems to reduce drafting time and minimize errors.
• Collaboration : Work alongside engineers to translate design criteria and project data into automated drawing outputs.
