About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President, Commercial Insurance Claims Leader to oversee its claims and risk prevention division. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a large claims team with a strategic vision for service excellence, managing the assignment of claims, and developing the skills of claims specialists. This role is pivotal in supporting the company's strategic growth objectives and requires a deep involvement in the claims process, a focus on service excellence, and the ability to manage relationships with key partners, insurance companies, and vendors.
Applicants must have a minimum of 7 years' of commercial property and casualty insurance industry claims experience, with at least 2 years' in a senior management role. The role involves serving as the lead consultant for large clients' risk mitigation and complex claims, as well as partnering with the sales team for claims education and support. The ideal candidate will have a strong sense of claims operations and a great understanding of the claims process for various insurance companies. Responsibilities also include tracking open claims, loss adjustment expenses, and speed of settlement, and developing collaborative claims management strategies with clients to reduce costs and empower them in risk management decisions.
