Experience supporting Agile / Scrum teamsparticipating in sprint planning backlog grooming and daily stand-ups. Strong experience managing defects enhancements and production support requests for legacy applications. Excellent written and verbal communication skills for stakeholder engagement and cross-team collaboration. Familiarity with SQL for data validation or troubleshooting. Comfortable collaborating with QA developers product owners and business stakeholders to move work efficiently. Proven experience supporting legacy enterprise systems with complex defect and data dependencies. Working knowledge of SQL for validating data issues and confirming fixes. Skilled at documentation : user stories acceptance criteria test case alignment and production validation notes. Understanding of Agile frameworks (preferably SAFe) and backlog prioritization. Thrives in environments with multiple concurrent priorities and stakeholders. Confident communicator who can simplify complex technical information for business partners. Organized and proactive in managing follow-ups deadlines and commitments. Comfortable collaborating across distributed or hybrid teams. Exposure to insurance or regulatory systems. Experience working on mainframe-based or legacy modernization projects. Familiarity with Jira Confluence or similar Agile tools. Prior work in data migration or defect triage environments.
Senior Business Analyst (Contract)
Type : 12-Month Contract (likely to extend anticipated 35 years of ongoing work
Schedule : Hybrid Kansas City MO (minimal onsite requirement)
Hours : Full-time standard business hours
Start Date : November 2025
Overview
This Senior Business Analyst will join a SAFe Agile development team supporting a suite of legacy enterprise applications. The BA acts as the liaison between business partners and technical teamsmanaging defects through resolution prioritizing backlog items defining requirements and ensuring deliverables align with business objectives.
What Youll Do
- Manage and refine the Agile team backlog to align priorities with business goals.
- Monitor communication channels for enhancement requests defects and data issuestriaging and tracking items through resolution.
- Collaborate with developers and QA testers to validate requirements and verify fixes in complex legacy systems.
- Facilitate clear consistent communication with business partners and leadership regarding progress risks and upcoming deliverables.
- Write review and maintain user stories test cases and documentation to ensure alignment and traceability.
- Support UAT and production validation ensuring business readiness and data accuracy.
- Assist with SQL-based data analysis or validation as needed to confirm issue root causes or verify fixes.
