MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS :
Certificate of completion of a paralegal training program approved by the American Bar Association or accredited by the California Department of Education or by an equivalent accrediting agency from another state or meeting the definition of a Paralegal under California Business and Professions Code Section 6450- and four-years' experience in a legal office performing paralegal or similar duties.
Graduation from an accredited law school with one year of experience in a legal office performing paralegal or similar duties.
Duties and Responsibilities and Qualifications :
Knowledge of : Legal issues related to investment and transaction matters; correct English usage, grammar, spelling, punctuation and vocabulary; interpersonal skills using tact, patience, and courtesy; customer services skills; principles and applications of the Microsoft Office Applications including Word, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint and Excel as well as Adobe Acrobat and legal research tools such as Lexis and Westlaw.
Ability to : Communicate clearly and effectively, orally and in writing and maintain effective relationships with public and staff; pay attention to detail; understand and follow oral and written directions; provide leadership; work with minimum supervision; and plan and organize their work and the work of others effectively; work under pressure to meet deadlines and other time constraints; establish and maintain effective working relationships with other staff internally and externally; organizational skills, including maintaining logs and spreadsheets. Ability to work with matter management software, participate in the implementation and roll out of such software and manage team projects and analytics.
