Duration : 6 mo contract with possible hire

Pay : $35-$42 / hour

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Employees in this role will enjoy a comprehensive benefits package starting on day one of

employment, including options for medical, dental, and vision insurance. Eligibility to enroll in

the 401(k) retirement plan begins after 90 days of employment. Additionally, employees in this

Required Skills & Experience

Responsibilities :

• Develop SWIs and technical documents.
• Train and mentor junior writers.
• Collaborate on process rollouts and audits.
• Edit and review documentation.
• Lead document review meetings.
• Improve writing standards and templates.
• 4+ years of technical writing experience.
• Experience with mechanical, electrical, and control systems documentation.
• Leadership or mentoring experience preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft 365 tools.
• Strong attention to detail and project management skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

Job Description

We are looking for a Technical Writer III to lead process documentation efforts, focusing on best practices, standardizing procedures, and developing Standard Work Instructions (SWIs). Responsibilities include interviewing subject matter experts, mentoring junior writers, and ensuring high-quality deliverables. The ideal candidate should be process-oriented, able to follow procedures, and build rapport easily. They will interview engineers, compile these interviews to create new standards of work, and use automation to enhance the process. Additionally, they must understand the content thoroughly and ensure clear answers.
