Construction Project Specialist

SRS is immediately seeking a Construction Project Specialist. The successful candidate will be highly organized and detail-oriented enjoys solving problems and enjoys being part of organizing and documenting process in a start-up department environment. This role will report directly to the Construction Project Manager for Building Products.

RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Responsible for tracking project status and relaying the information to internal and external teams and business partners. Communicates and distributes project related information to vendors and internal partners.
• Supports the Construction Manager in collecting vendor bids assessing against construction drawings and approved scopes.
• Identify and manage opportunities to increase efficiency of vendor contracts project administration and project closeout addressing any issues or concerns that arise during the construction process escalating as needed.
• Creates and maintains project files including the tracking and collection of pay apps invoices lien waivers permits licenses and closeout documentation.
• Review and track project costs against approved budget with accuracy and ensures change orders go through proper capex approval process.
• Track and collect TI Allowance Reimbursements from Landlords. Aggregate documents from real estate and construction as required for package submission according to lease and landlord requirements.
• Assists in the coordination of vendor payments : Review Invoices identify / resolve billing discrepancies and provide approval to Accounts Payable as needed.
• Participates in the continuous improvement of construction processes and implementation of best practices to maximize efficiency.
