The Health Unit Coordinator will be responsible for assisting nursing personnel in maintaining accurate resident records according to State and Federal guidelines. The position involves maintaining confidentiality of all resident information and providing excellent customer service skills.

DUTIES

Major job functions include maintaining accurate medical records, preparing medical record for physician visits and facility transfers, transcribing physician orders, preparing files for admissions and discharges, maintaining resident schedule for ancillary services, and providing excellent customer service by giving direction to residents, visitors, and staff, directing phone calls, sorting and deliver mail, etc.

QUALIFICATIONS

Health Unit Coordinator certificate is preferred.
