Shifts : 8-hour shifts (Day or Evening), Monday-Friday, every other weekend; total 10 hours per day including travel time

Address : Primary Location - New Hanover Juvenile Detention Center, Castle Hayne, NC (with travel to other Juvenile Justice facilities across North Carolina as needed)

Job Description :

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) will provide one-on-one care and supervision to juveniles in state-operated detention and treatment facilities. The CNA will primarily serve as a sitter, ensuring the safety and well-being of assigned youth while performing duties within the CNA scope of practice. Additional responsibilities will vary by facility and may include assisting with daily living activities, maintaining hygiene, monitoring behavior, and supporting nursing staff in routine care.

This is a 13-week contract position requiring flexibility and reliability. CNAs must have a dependable vehicle and be willing to travel between assigned Juvenile Justice facilities.

Preferred Experience :

Prior experience in adolescent, correctional, or juvenile healthcare settings

Strong communication, observation, and behavioral management skills

Ability to maintain professionalism and empathy in a secure environment

Shift Details :

Second shift currently prioritized : 3 : 00 PM - 11 : 30 PM, Monday through Friday, every other weekend
