Under the supervision of a physical therapist, provides skilled physical therapy to patients / clients with a wide variety of diagnoses and disabilities, taking into account individual patients special physical or age-related needs. Requires skills in patient / client treatment, as well as professional consultations to achieve maximum patient / client independence in accordance with individual's functional level and potential. Physical Therapy Assistants help provide therapeutic services and activities under the guidance of a Physical Therapist to help patients in need successfully maintain or improve their level of independence.
