Structural Analysis Engineer – Aerospace Programs
Job Summary :
Join the Philadelphia Design Center (PDC) to support structural analysis for high-impact aerospace programs across the enterprise, including, Air Force One, F-18, Starliner, and Space Launch Systems. As a Structural Analysis Engineer, you will perform classical and finite element analysis to evaluate structural performance, support test execution, and validate systems and components against rigorous aerospace standards.
Key Responsibilities :
- Conduct structural analysis using established tools and methodologies to assess structural environments, characteristics, and performance.
- Support and analyze structural tests (., static, vibration) and interpret results to verify compliance with design and regulatory requirements.
- Document and present certification and test results to internal stakeholders and external regulatory agencies.
- Investigate in-service product issues and recommend structural improvements or corrective actions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide substantiation for critical aerospace systems and components.
Required Skills :
Proficiency in structural analysis, including classical methods and Finite Element Analysis (FEA).Experience with industry-standard analysis tools (., ANSYS, NASTRAN, Abaqus).Strong understanding of mechanical and aerospace engineering principles.Preferred Skills :
Familiarity with aerospace-specific tools and processes.Prior experience in aerospace structural analysis and certification.Education & Experience :
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or a related technical field.Typically 2+ years of relevant experience, or a Master’s degree with equivalent technical background.ABET accreditation preferred but not required.
