Auditor Position
A well-established seed warehouse is seeking a temporary auditor to join their team. The auditor should have experience performing visual inspection of products. The auditor will perform final and in-process inspection of ag seed following the industry standard guidelines on labeling, condition, and stacking. This position is a temporary position, and will be an approximate 6 month assignment.
Responsibilities :
- Communicates with customers, vendors, drivers, and co-workers in a positive, professional, and respectful manner.
- Match picking sheet to probox placards and slide gate tag.
- Checks for missing clips and assures boxes are locked in place.
- Review SU number on both sides to make sure they match.
- Review probox to ensure cleanliness.
- Circle the amount on picking sheet and place a mark by the unit of measure column for each probox on load.
- Count all proboxes and put the total amount on probox line on last page after loading complete.
- Informs supervisor or manager if probox is too dirty to ship out or missing tags.
- Complete load inspection form and note any errors.
- Match the picking sheet to placards and at least one bag on each layer making sure the product and sub product match.
- Check each pallet for damaged bags, dirty or stained bags and have the forklift operator replace them before staging the pallet.
- Ensure each pallet is stacked using the pallet stacking guidelines provided.
- Count all pallets and put the total amount on pallet line on the last page.
- Manage the inbound and outbound shipments and receipt of all products, materials, and supplies. This includes, but is not limited to, auditing outbound shipments, verifying inventory counts, checking and entering data, and updating and maintaining databases.
- Provides on-the-job training for new employees as required.
- Recommends process improvements for growth of the company.
- Provides additional backup support for shipping and receiving departments.
- Performs cleanup of the area at the end of the shift or as required.
- Performs all duties in accordance with Southshore Companies safety manual.
- Regular (punctual and dependable) attendance is an essential function of this job.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements :
Must be legally authorized / eligible to work in the United States.High school diploma or GED preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Ability to read, write, count, and perform basic math skills of addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.Requires initiative and ability to work independently and in a team setting.Ability to talk, listen, understand, and follow directions.Good written and verbal communication skills.Bilingual is a highly preferred skill for this position.Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) products.Computer skills are preferred including use of email and internet.Proficient data entry skills are required.Ability to set priorities and flexibly to reset priorities in a changing environment.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet productivity targets.Ability to pay attention to details and accuracy in inventory control.Good organizational skills.Ability to meet deadlines.Strong sense of time management.Strong customer service skills.Ability to work Monday Friday plus overtime including some Saturdays as needed by the business (especially during peak season January through April).Benefits & Pay :
