Subcontractor Outreach Specialist
The primary function of the SOS is to provide support to the entire estimating staff for multiple bid efforts in addition to maintaining and establishing subcontractor relationships.
Key Responsibilities
The duties, responsibilities and attributes of the SOS typically include, but are not limited to :
Build relationships with key existing subcontractors and strive to establish new relationships
Responsible for managing and updating the subcontractor database
Strategically identify and attend subcontractor industry events to help broaden our relationships and to market WEO
Manage and participate in the creation of bid proposal packages in response to RFP's
Solicit and obtain subcontractor bid coverage
Limited Administrative Duties
Check and distribute incoming mail and documents to appropriate parties, including scanning and uploading to Box for PA access
Sign for packages and certified mail
Open delivered packages and notify recipients for pickup
Monitor and restock office supplies, food, and snacks; coordinate with the office team to identify needs
Occasionally send out packages via FedEx, GLS, or USPS, which may include drop-offs at local facilities

Technical Skills
Basic Understanding of construction terminology, trades and project types
Understands the differences between various delivery methods, i.e., budgets, competitive bids and negotiated projects
Basic Understanding of trade CSI codes

Qualifications : 1-3 years minimum of relevant professional experience working with a Subcontractor or General Contractor
Understands and effectively uses company software programs and systems :
a) Proficiency in basic computer skills (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
b) Proficiency in Outlook and has the ability to manage calendars, address books, tasks and email
c) Ability to navigate and manage files and folders in cloud-based platforms, such as Box.com
