Marketing and Communications Specialist

Description

This position requires working in the Indianapolis office at least three days per week, with the potential for additional in-office days as needed.

The Marketing and Communications Specialist will help drive Kiwanis International’s marketing initiatives to increase awareness and manage the reputation of Kiwanis International and all Kiwanis subsidiaries. This includes but may not be limited to : The Kiwanis Children’s Fund, Key Club International and Circle K International. The specialist will contribute strategy ideas and tactics in alliance with the organization’s brands and will work in collaboration with other members of the Communications Team and cross-functionally.

The candidate will be involved in all aspects of communications relative to large-scale global initiatives, grassroots campaigns, event promotion, media relations, and message development. The MCS will lead convention marketing, digital and online marketing and traditional marketing and will work with vendors used for SEO, Kiwanis’ Google Grant program and digital marketing campaigns.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :

• Works with CMCO to develop marketing strategy, manages and implements tactics that align with the overall strategic vision of the organization and its subsidiaries. (50%)
• Works directly with the Comms Director, CCO, and other departments, to identify the marketing needs (internal and external) and develop strategies and appropriate tactics to meet those needs. (30%)
• Works with the social media team, provides counsel and monitors digital presence for Kiwanis family subsidiaries. (15%)
• Other duties as assigned. (5%)
