Job Title :

  • CNC SET UP MACHINIST Department :   MACHINE SHOP Reports To :   MACHINE SHOP MANAGER FLSA Status :   FULL TIME HOURLY Position Summary :   CNC machinist must possess excellent attention to detail and will be responsible to follow out machining of parts in accordance with prints, and Company procedure requirements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the following satisfactorily; other duties may be assigned.

  • Create CNC / Lathe and Mill setup sheets
  • Able to setup / operate complex (+ / -.010 or lower, TP <=.024,) CNC machining jobs
  • Perform complex Grind setup’s.
  • Complex GD&T measurement using calipers, height gage, bore gages etc.
  • Advanced shop math
  • Advanced Blueprint reading
  • Understand Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerances.
  • Must own basic inspection equipment (0-6” Caliper).

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and / or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 5 years related experience or training preferred.
