The Role :

We are seeking a highly motivated graduate student to join our Infectious Disease Epidemiology team as a Summer 2026 Intern. This 11-week internship (June 1st through August 14th) will support vaccine development programs for respiratory viruses (influenza, RSV, SARS-CoV-2) and gastrointestinal viruses (norovirus), providing a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in real-world epidemiologic research, vaccine development, and decision-making processes.
Here’s What You’ll Do :
Gain exposure to the role of Epidemiology in vaccine development, supporting clinical trial phases and post-market research
Lead and execute epidemiologic analyses on respiratory and gastrointestinal (GI) viruses and related health outcomes, including study design, data analysis, and interpretation of results
Communicate findings effectively through data visualization, reports, and presentations to cross-functional teams and leadership
Engage with cross-functional teams, including Clinical Development, Medical Affairs, Health Economics & Outcomes Research (HEOR), and Real-World Evidence Analytics
Contribute to regular cross-functional discussions on evidence generation strategies for respiratory and GI vaccines, shaping research priorities and decision-making
Here’s What You’ll Bring to the Table :
Currently enrolled in a PhD, MPH, or MS program in Epidemiology, Biostatistics, Public Health, Global Health, or a pharmaceutical-related field
Strong background or interest in epidemiology and biostatistics
Minimum GPA of 3.4
Interest in vaccine development, pharmacoepidemiologic methods, and data-driven decision-making
Curiosity, eagerness to learn, and a collaborative yet independent work ethic
Technical skills : Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel); experience with SAS or R is a plus but not required
Personal attributes : Strong communication skills, ability to meet deadlines, team-oriented mindset, adaptability under pressure, and a proactive approach to problem-solving

The salary range for this role is $20.00 - $60.00. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. An individual’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, specific competencies, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, performance, and business or organizational needs.
The successful candidate may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, other incentive compensation, or equity award, subject to company plan eligibility criteria and individual performance.
