ASAP is hiring for this entry-level GIS Technician I role on behalf of our client. This position is a great opportunity for candidates looking to gain hands-on GIS experience within the utility industry.

High-Level Project Overview / Duties :

This entry-level role works primarily in the Geographic Information System (GIS), supporting mapping of services, creating maps for audits and permitting, and performing updates and data analysis to meet regulatory requirements around integrity management.

Key responsibilities include :

• Maintaining and organizing utility documentation and records.
• Researching and verifying historical records / data to support field operations.
• Updating GIS data to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Collaborating with contractors, utilities, agencies, and internal teams.
• Performing data analysis to resolve discrepancies and provide insights.
• Troubleshooting issues with GIS systems and document control processes.
